10am-4pm (last entry 3.30pm), free admission on selected Fridays
We are now open on certain Fridays throughout the year and would like to welcome visitors to our Burlington House premises. During these Open Fridays, you will be able to enjoy a visit to the lower ground floor of our London premises and learn about our history, the rooms and collections within.
Guided visits to our Library take place at 11am, 12 noon, 2pm and 3pm, subject to staff and volunteer availability. Lasting 15-20 minutes, these visits provide an insight into the largest antiquarian library in the country, with an outstanding collection amassed over 300 years.
Open Fridays are part of our Sensing History at the Society of Antiquaries project, which is kindly supported by, National Lottery Heritage Fund, John Murray Charitable Trust, Movement For Good, & Museum Development London.
