This event is for Fellows only. Please only book if you are a Fellow of the Society. The purpose of this meeting is to allow discussion of the motion put forward by Council to amend Order No. 3: The Conduct of Elections and Admissions to the Society for Ordinary and Honorary Fellows, as outlined in the enclosed papers.

The business to be conducted at the Extraordinary General Meeting is as follows:

1. Introduction by the President
2. A report on the responses from Fellows during the consultation period (24 September – 24 October 2022), with Council’s responses
3. Questions and comments from the Fellowship
4. Summary and conclusion by the President

Fellows are reminded that electronic voting on Council’s motion will open at 0001 on 1 November 2022, and close at 2359 on 30 November 2022. Postal votes must be received at Burlington House by 12.00 noon on 30 November 2022.

The Ordinary Meeting lecture will follow after the Extraordinary General Meeting. For those online, there will be a separate Zoom meeting for the lecture to ensure that only Fellows are present at the Extraordinary General Meeting. For those online who wish to join the lecture after there is a different sign-up here to be added to the list for the link to the Ordinary Meeting lecture as normal. You will be prompted at the end of the Extraordinary General Meeting to swap Zoom meetings.
