Thank you for becoming an Affiliate Member, we look forward to welcoming you to our premises at Burlington House.

I’ve just joined, what happens now?

Our Library team will be in contact with you soon with further details about your Library access. Please wait for them to get in touch with you before visiting our premises. We will issue a Library card to you on your first visit.

What are your opening times and how do I find and request books?

The Library is open 10am-5pm, Monday to Friday, so please feel free to visit us anytime during those hours, though do check our website for any closures which are usually bank holidays, August and the Christmas period.

Our Library team and will be on hand to assist you with any enquiries and you can contact them at [email protected]. You can search the online Library catalogue here, where you’ll be able to place holds on books, renew requests, or request photocopies. You will be issued with login details at the same time that you receive your Library card.

After your first visit you do not have to make an appointment or request material on open shelves in advance, but we do ask any books in closed access or archives/manuscripts are requested at least a day in advance so we can ensure we will be able to retrieve them in time.

Any restrictions?

Please note that it’s usually possible to take reference photographs (without flash) for private study, though we’d appreciate you seek permission before your visit. We also don’t allow any food or drink in the Library or the Museum Room.

How do I prove I’m an Affiliate Member and get concessionary entry at Kelmscott Manor if I haven’t got my library card yet?

If you’re planning to visit Kelmscott Manor but haven’t picked up your library card yet, please take along your membership confirmation email, either printed or shown on your mobile, as proof.
