Science and Stonehenge

Lecture by Prof Michael Parker Pearson, FSA.

In the last 14 years, the Stonehenge Riverside Project and its successor projects have produced a wealth of new information about the landscape, the monuments and the people who built them. A whole variety of multidisciplinary approaches are providing major insights into questions such as why Stonehenge was built, who built it, and why some of its stones were brought from nearly 200 miles away.
