Magna Carta Museum Late

Museum _late _website

Please join us for a one-of-a-kind opportunity to explore the exhibition after hours, enjoying special programming and a cash bar.

The exhibition is located in the Society of Antiquaries' historic 19th-century apartments at Burlington House, and the venue itself is worth visiting.

Visitors will have the opportunity to explore the temporary exhibition, Magna Carta Through the Ages, and interact with an onsite interpreter, listen to medieval music, and enjoy drinks from a cash bar.

We'll be welcoming a medieval sealer, Alice, to the event. Alice (played by Fellow Elizabeth New) is a widow who took over her husband's sealmaking business, and she'll be delighted to tell visitors about life in the middle ages and her husband's trade!

Jez Smith, a medieval musician, will be demonstrating intruments like the hurdy gurdy, bagpipes and gittern. You can find out more about Jez Smith on his website, Playing In Time. Below is a video of Jez in action.
