We are delighted to announce the launch of our new Library catalogue! It can be viewed here: https://library.sal.org.uk/

The catalogue uses the ‘Koha’ open-source Integrated Library System and completely replaces the previous ‘Voyager’ system. It is our first new electronic cataloguing system since 2000.

As well as the immediate look of the catalogue appearing far more contemporary in style, in line with the Society’s new website, there are a few significant changes.

All Fellows now have their own Library catalogue accounts. From here they can view and renew their loans, place holds on books, create their own lists, make photocopy requests, and access all of our online resources.

Another feature is the ‘All resources’ search. Using this search option means the Library’s holdings can be searched simultaneously with our e-reources. Fellows can now search for online articles in the catalogue and use the URL or full-text links to access the article directly, rather than searching by journal title. The search includes articles and ebooks from the Library’s subscription e-resources, including JSTOR, and entries in databases such as the ODNB, Grove Art Online, and Who’s Who. It also searches across selected open access repositories, including DOAJ (Directory of Open Access Journals), OAPEN Library, BnF Gallica, Persée, and the British Library’s EThOS.

Fellows can log in to the catalogue using the same credentials as their Fellow’s Platform (Connect) account.

We very much hope you enjoy using the new Library catalogue! Please feel welcome to contact the Library at [email protected] if you have any queries.

The Search the catalogues page of our website includes links and information about all of our online catalogues for collections held in Burlington House and Kelmscott Manor.
