We have elected 10 new Fellows.

  • Barry Gamble, BA. World heritage consultant including work on sites in Japan, Gdansk shipyard, Africa and South America.
  • Roger Bowers, MA, PhD. Emeritus Reader in Medieval and Renaissance Music at the University of Cambridge, author of English Church Polyphony, currently working on the Mass, Motets and Vespers of Monteverdi.
  • Alexander Langlands, BA, MA, PhD. Writer, broadcaster and academic, Patron of the Heritage Crafts Association, who has a special interest in the human exploitation of natural resources particularly in the middle ages.
  • Andrew Harris, MBE, MA. A founder member and Honorary Secretary of the Hereford & Worcester Architectural Record Group, and has published on the architectural, political and social histories of Worcestershire’s great houses and their estates.
  • Matthew Williams, BA. Honorary curator of Cardiff Castle with specialist interests in 19th-century interior design, the 19th-century Gothic Revival, and 19th-century ceramics, and is Chair of Llandaff Diocesan Committee.
  • Matthew Richardson, BA, MA. Social historian of Manx cultural history and curator of more than 10 major exhibitions relating to the social, sporting and military history of the Isle of Man.
  • Simon Beattie, BA, MA. An antiquarian bookseller, he is a member of the Bibliographical Society, the Buckinghamshire Archaeological Society, and sits on the council of the Antiquarian Booksellers’ Association.
  • Francis O’Gorman, MA, DPhil. Professor of English at the University of Edinburgh, a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society and the English Association, he has authored and edited extensively and is chairman of the Ruskin Society.
  • Stefan Krmnicek, Mag.Phil, DPhil. Junior professor of Ancient Numismatics at the University of Tübingen in Germany, he has published on the archaeology of money and coin iconography.
  • Kathryn Kerby-Fulton, BA, B.Ed. MPhil, DPhil. Professor Emerita of the University of Notre Dame, USA, has published extensively on medieval literature, intellectual history, and manuscript studies.
