Kelmscott Manor was the country home of William
Morris - poet, craftsman and socialist - from 1871 until his
death in 1896. The house contains a collection of the possessions
and works of Morris and his associates, including furniture,
textiles, carpets and ceramics.
Kelmscott Manor is owned and managed by the Society of Antiquaries of London and trades as Lucerna Ltd, a company limited by guarantee.
The house is open to the public from April to September on Wednesdays and some Saturday afternoons.
The
Kelmscott Manor website has photographs of the house
together with information about how to get there, prices for
admission and opening times.
